Welcome to the Organic Chemical Metrology Group

The Organic Analytical Methods Group consists of a staff of 30+ scientists including postdoctoral research associates, guest scientists, and graduate and undergraduate students. The Group's activities focus on organic mass spectrometry (MS) and separation techniques including gas chromatography (GC), liquid chromatography (LC), supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) and extraction (SFE), capillary electrophoresis (CE), and capillary electrochromatography (CEC). The activities in the Organic Analytical Methods Group are directed toward the development, critical evaluation, and application of analytical methods for the identification and measurement of organic and organometallic species in a variety of matrices including biological tissue and fluids (e.g., human serum and urine), food materials, and environmental matrices (e.g., sediment, tissue, air and diesel particulate matter, and fossil fuels).
