Measurement Technology for Benchmark Spray Combustion Data

Our objective is to develop measurement technology to provide benchmark experimental data for input/validation of multiphase combustion models, calibration of instrument/sensors, and development of advanced diagnostics. These data are used to establish correlations between operating conditions, and the resultant spray flame characteristics, thermal gradients, and level of chemical byproducts in combustion systems. Simulations of the NIST facility are welcomed by interested parties.
